Former Virginia Tech and NFL Star: “I’d Put WVU Up Against Any NFL Stadium”

Morgantown, West Virginia – When the West Virginia Mountaineers play the #15 ranked Virginia Tech Hokies tomorrow, expect to see a hostile, rowdy home crowd in Morgantown.

DeAngelo Hall, who played defensive back for Virginia Tech from 2002-2004, said Milan Puskar Stadium is one of the most intimidating atmospheres in all of football.

“I can remember playing West Virginia games and Morgantown was not a very friendly place.  I played in a lot of crazy atmospheres as far as stadiums go and I put West Virginia up against any NFL stadium as far as atmosphere.”

Hall went on to play to play 14 seasons in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons, Oakland Raiders and Washington Redskins before retiring in 2017.  For someone who has played in virtually every big NFL stadium in the country to say that the crowd and atmosphere in Morgantown is as good or better than all of them says a lot about the tremendous fans in West Virginia!
