Earlier today, former WVU defensive back Nicktroy Fortune announced his intentions to transfer to UTSA via social media.

Fortune, who missed significant time in 2021 due to injury, entered the transfer portal in March. He finished his time in the Old Gold and Blue tallying 76 tackles while nabbing one interception. He also deflected five passes.

Fortune will play former Mountaineer quarterback Jarret Doege when the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers travel to San Antonio to take on the Roadrunners in C-USA play on October 8th.
