Al Pogue, WVU’s former outside linebackers coach, has landed a new job as Troy’s secondary coach, per Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports.
Pogue spent the 2019 season with the Mountaineers before moving on to the Auburn Tigers prior to the 2020 season. He has since left the Tigers after Guz Malzahn was relieved of his duties, causing a massive shakeup in Auburn’s staff.
Under Neal Brown, Pogue was the cornerbacks coach for the Trojans from 2014 to 2018.
During his time in Morgantown, Pogue became a fan favorite with Mountaineer fans, due to his contagious exuberant personality that was evident during his “mic’d up” sessions.
A special treat tonight! We mic'd up assistant coach Al Pogue at practice, and it does not disappoint.@coachalpogue#HailWV | #JuiceMan pic.twitter.com/u7FS5qrhKk
