Despite reports that he was joining the staff at Louisiana-Monroe, former WVU quarterback Clint Trickett has suddenly had a change of direction for his next coaching gig.

According to a report on FootballScoop, Trickett has accepted a position on Charles Huff’s staff at Marshall as the Herd’s wide receivers coach. He was also considered for many different reports, included a position on Lane Kiffin’s staff at Ole Miss, per the report.

This will be Trickett’s second FBS school, as he spent the last few seasons on Florida Atlantic’s staff. He was recently relieved of his duties as the owl’s co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
