Four Star QB Brodie McWhorter Commits to West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — The West Virginia Mountaineers have just landed their quarterback of the future!

Brodie McWhorter, a 6’2 195 pound four star quarterback from Cartersville, Georgia, just shockingly announced that he has committed to play at WVU!

McWhorter previously said that he would make the announcement on July 4th, but this afternoon he made a social media post that read, “20 minutes…change of plans at 4:00! Why wait when you know?”

McWhorter has offers from every major program in the nation, including his home state Georgia Bulldogs, Florida, Auburn, Florida State, Ohio State and many more!

As a sophomore last season, McWhorter threw for 2,128 yards and 20 touchdowns while completing 64% of his pass attempts. McWhorter is the 2nd commit for the Mountaineers in the 2026 class. Daiveon Taylor, a linebacker from Pittsburgh, PA, committed to WVU on April 27th.

West Virginia set at the quarterback position with senior Garrett Greene starting this year, Nicco Marchiol likely to start for 2 seasons after that, and then Brodie McWhorter will be ready to step in to lead the Mountaineers after Marchiol!

Huge get for the Neal Brown and the West Virginia Mountaineers!
