Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, former West Virginia Mountaineers forward Gabe Osabuohien announced that he is entering his name into the 2022 NBA Draft.

Osabuohien, who averaged 4.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Mountaineers last season, is a long-shot to actually be drafted, but could catch on with an NBA team in the G League.

Osabuohien is one of the hardest workers and top defenders in recent West Virginia basketball history. However, at 6’7 he is undersized for his position and lacks a consistent offensive game.

In his announcement, Osabuohien said the following: “To say that I love West Virginia is an understatement. The country roads are beyond special. No matter where basketball takes me, I will be a Mountaineer forever and represent this program to the best of my abilities.

With that being said, I have made the decision to sign with an agent and enter my name in the 2022 NBA Draft.”
