WVU and Houston meet on the gridiron for the first time ever on October 12th.
Houston, TX – The West Virginia Mountaineers and the Houston Cougars will meet on October 12th in front of a nationally televised audience. It will be the first time that the two schools have met, and will feature an intriguing matchup between Houston Head Coach Dana Holgorsen and his former team.
Houston, who will be hosting the game at TDECU Stadium, recently revealed themes for their 2023 home games.

The Cougars will host their Hispanic Heritage Day and Black Out Game when the Mountaineers come to town. This means that Houston will be wearing their all-black uniforms under the lights. Fans in attendance will also be celebrating the incredible contributions by individuals of Hispanic Heritage within their community.
Kickoff for WVU-Houston is set for 7:00 on October 12th. The game will broadcast on FS1.
