Garrett Greene Reaches Out to Florida State Transfer

West Virginia has put forth their best recruiting efforts to land former Florida State linebacker Armani Gainer.

Gainer, who was the active leader in tackles for the Seminoles, paid Morgantown a visit prior to Christmas.

While it would certainly be an impressive recruiting win by Neal Brown’s staff, his decision to join the Mountaineers (should he commit) may just may be persuaded by a current Mountaineer.

Garrett Greene, who will be competing for WVU’s starting quarterback job, is a former high school teammate of Gainer. He took it upon himself to reach out to Gainer on Twitter last night.

It wasn’t completely without success as Gainer responded.

His eye emoji response has to be a good sign, right?

We think so.
