Garrett Greene Set to Return

Morgantown, West Virginia – Garrett Greene, the outstanding redshirt freshman quarterback from Tallahassee, Florida, missed last week’s game against Kansas State with an “upper body injury.”  Greene was in reportedly in the concussion protocol and was unavailable for practice all last week.

However, Greene has practiced this week and is available to play this Saturday at home against the Texas Longhorns.

Greene, who is 14-24 for 131 yards with a 104.2 quarterback rating on the season, is now listed as the backup quarterback to redshirt senior Jarret Doege.  Doege has thrown for 2,448 yards, 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, and has a 60.2 quarterback rating on the season.

The West Virginia Mountaineers (4-6) host the Texas Longhorns (4-6) at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, West Virginia on Saturday at noon.
