Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers (16-12, 5-10) travel to Lawrence, Kanas to play the #3 ranked Kansas Jayhawks (23-5, 11-4) at Allen Fieldhouse, one of the most difficult places in the country to play, at 4:00PM.

The Mountaineers have never beaten the Jayhawks on the road and are 0-10 at Allen Fieldhouse since joining the Big 12 Conference. There have been several close games between the two teams at Kansas, but West Virginia has always come up short, and Bob Huggins thinks he knows why.

“Well, I think we ought to do is go back and look at a lot of the games that they’ve played there and you’ll see with your own two eyes why they always win there.” Huggins added, “They just always seem to get the breaks that nobody else gets.”

Following a 60-53 West Virginia loss in 2019, Bob Huggins was fined $10,000 for saying the following about the referees of the game: “I can’t control what those three blind mice running around out there do.”

Kansas has been absolutely dominant at Allen Fieldhouse historically. The Jayhawks are 12-0 at home this season, 756-109 all-time and 218-9 under current head coach Bill Self.
