Huggins Lands In-State Guard

The West Virginia Mountaineers landed a 2020 in-state recruit moments ago as Jay Moore, a 6’5 shooting guard from Beckley Prep, announced his commitment on his Instagram account.

In his message, Moore said, “I would first like to thank my God, family and coaches for helping me reach the goals I have put forth.  This support system has pushed me to be the best person I can possibly be.  I would also like to thank all the coaches who took the time to offer and recruit me.  The recruiting process has been long and tough.  With that being said, I will be committing to Coach Huggins and WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY to further my scholastic athletic career.”

Moore is an under-the-radar prospect with his only other offers coming from Morgan State, North Carolina A&T and Stetson.  Moore is a first team all state player and averaged 22.5 points per game.
