Wheeling, WV – Last night, Fairmont Senior defeated North Marion in the AA Football State Championship Game, 49-48. It was an instant classic that many consider to be the greatest state championship game in West Virginia history.
It came down to the very end when North Marion Receiver Landon Frey made an incredible catch on the game’s last touchdown.

The one-handed catch has garnered attention nationwide.
North Marion would go for two, but the attempt fell short giving the Polar Bears the win.
