Morgantown, West Virginia – Freshman forward Isaiah Cottrell, who Bob Huggins said he wanted to see get more minutes in today’s game, injured his ankle in the first half of the Northeastern game when he came down awkwardly chasing a loose ball.
Cottrell was unable to put pressure on the ankle when he came off the floor, and was taken back to the to the locker room to be examined and to have X-rays taken.
Isaiah Cottrell hobbles off the court with an apparent ankle injury. Hope he’s okay, HUGE future for #WVU.

Cottrell, who currently averages 1.8 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game though his first nine games, has an incredibly bright future for the Mountaineers, so let’s hope that he’s back in the second half.
West Virginia is currently up 34-26 against the Northeastern Huskies at halftime.
UPDATE: Cottrell is out for the remainder of the game with a “lower leg injury.”
