Mountaineer Nation has been ecstatic about the arrival of 2020 basketball recruit Isaiah Cottrell. Today, that excitement can finally be fulfilled as he announced today that he was finally “home.”

Cottrell, who is a 4-star recruit according to 247Sports, announced his commitment to the Mountaineers on June 13, 2019. Since, he has officially signed with the Mountaineers, and is now gearing up for his first season in Morgantown.

Coming out of high school, Cottrell had a long list of offers from some of the nation’s most prominent basketball programs in the nation. Bob Huggins was able to fend off the likes of Bill Self at Kansas, Chris Beard at Texas Tech, and Jim Boeheim at Syracuse for the Huntington Prep star.
