Morgantown, West Virginia – Redshirt Sophomore Jalen Bridges had a tremendous freshman season and is expected to take huge steps next season for the Mountaineers.

Bridges, who wore #2 last season for West Virginia, has decided to switch his jersey number for the upcoming season.

Per Bridges’ social media account, he will now wear #11 for the Mountaineers.

Bridges, who averaged 5.9 points and 3.6 rebounds as a freshman last season, wore #11 in high school down the road at Fairmont Senior High School and it’s his favorite number, but former Mountaineer Emmitt Matthews, Jr. wore #11 and Bridges had to find a different jersey number.

Now, following Matthews’ departure into the transfer portal, Bridges has #11 back and is pumped about it!
