UPDATE: Jesse Edwards entered the lineup with approximately 13 minutes left in the first half of the game today. His right wrist is heavily bandaged.

ORLANDO, Florida — The West Virginia Mountaineers (7-12, 2-4 in the Big 12 Conference) have had a very difficult start to the season, but they will finally be back at full strength tonight as starting center Jesse Edwards is expected to play today against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Edwards, a 6’11 senior from Amsterdam, Netherlands, will not start but willl play for the Mountaineers today. Edwards has been practicing with the team over the last several days and was dressed for West Virginia’s games against Kansas and UCF, but ultimately did not play in order to play it safe after surgery on his right wrist.

Edwards, who is averaging 14.8 points and 8.7 rebounds a game for the Mountaineers this season, has not play since he was injured on December 16. West Virginia has a lot of work to do to get into postseason play this year, but with Edwards back in the lineup and the roster fully together, this is a very talented team that can make some noise and perhaps a late season run.
