Jevon Carter Announces New Jersey Number

Morgantown, West Virginia – Following the NBA season former West Virginia Mountaineers guard Jevon Carter was traded from the Phoenix Suns to the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets received Carter and the Suns’ 1st round pick in the 2021 NBA Draft in exchange got Landry Shamet.

The Nets are Carter’s third team since arriving in the NBA and it should be an outstanding opportunity for him to back up one of the best guards in the league, Kyrie Irving.

Moments ago, Carter announced that he will wear #0 for the Nets this season.

Carter has shown that he is capable of being a valuable contributor for an NBA team.  In the final regular season game of the season with the Suns, Carter finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists in 43 minutes in a 123-121 victory over the San Antonio Spurs while the Suns’ starters rested for the playoffs.
