Morgantown, West Virginia – Mountaineer Nation loves Jevon Carter and Jevon Carter loves the fans of the West Virginia Mountaineers right back! Carter, who averaged 4.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 16.3 minutes per game last season for the Phoenix Suns, is now a free agent.  He will either re-sign with the Suns, or will test the NBA Free Agent market during the offseason.

Today, Carter posted a throwback picture of himself while playing for the Mountaineers.  The caption read the following: “Forever mood.  I gave that university everything I had and I’ll do it again.”

While at West Virginia University, Carter was sensational, finishing his brilliant career as a four-time All Big 12 Team member, a two-time Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, a two-time NABC Defensive Player of the Year, the all-time West Virginia career steals leader, as well as the West Virginia single-season steal and assists leader.

Jevon Carter absolutely gave everything he could to West Virginia University and continues to make the state of West Virginia extremely proud.
