Jevon Carter, Last Person on the Court

Morgantown, West Virginia – Jevon Carter didn’t play a single minute in the Phoenix Suns’ first game of the 2021 NBA Playoffs yesterday, but that didn’t stop him from being the last player on the court last night following the game.

The Suns defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 99-90 in the 1st round of the Western Conference playoffs, but unfortunately Jevon Carter remained on the bench the entire game.

Carter, who nearly had a triple-double in the final regular season of the game of the year (19 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists), averaged 4.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 12 minutes per game for the Suns this season.

Although Carter wasn’t used in the first playoff game, he always stays ready so he doesn’t have to get ready, and just like he did in college at West Virginia University, he was the last player to leave the court following the game, getting shots up long after every other player has left the arena.

Carter was the hardest worker in college basketball at WVU and that has continued now in the NBA!  When Jevon Carter is called on to play, he will be ready!

The Suns are back in action tomorrow night at 10:00PM in Game 2 of the NBA Playoffs and hopefully Carter will get some minutes!

In the meantime, check out the video from last night of Jevon Carter getting shots up following the Suns’ 99-90 win over the Lakers last night:
