MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — According to Baseball America, West Virginia star JJ Wetherholt is projected to be the #1 overall pick in the 2024 Major League Baseball Draft!

Wetherholt, 21, had a .331 batting average with 8 home runs, 30 runs batted in and 6 stolen bases in an injury-shortened season as a junior this past year as an infielder for the West Virginia Mountaineers.

According to Collazo, Wetherholt will likely be selected 1st overall by the Cleveland Guardians, who are currently in 1st place in the American League Central with a 44-25 record.
