Joe Toussaint has made his decision on where he will finish his college career.
MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Former West Virginia point guard Joe Toussaint released a statement on social media yesterday that he would not be playing for the Mountaineers during the upcoming season.
Moments ago, Toussaint announced that he will finish his collegiate career at Texas Tech. Toussaint, a 6’0 graduate transfer from Bronx, New York, narrowed his potential schools to Kansas State, Texas Tech and Pitt after visiting the three schools this past week.
Toussaint, who averaged 9.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists last season for the Mountaineers, entered the transfer portal after Bob Huggins’ resignation following his DUI arrest.
In his statement to West Virginia fans, Toussaint said that he “believes in Josh Eilert as a head coach”, but ultimately decided that he was making a decision that he felt was best for his future.
