Morgantown, West Virginia – Former West Virginia Mountaineers basketball head coach John Beilein has a new job!
After leaving West Virginia, Beilein was the head coach for the Michigan Wolverines before leaving to coach the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA, where he resigned in the middle of his first season with a 14-40 record.
Now, Beilein will be the new Director of Player Development for the Detroit Pistons, per Marc Stein of the New York Times.
Although Beilein struggled in his one season in the NBA, he is still one of the brightest and most respected people in all of basketball.
Best of luck, Coach Beilein!
