Jordan McCabe Injured in First Practice with UNLV

Morgantown, West Virginia – Former West Virginia Mountaineers point guard Jordan McCabe suffered an injury during his very first practice with the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels.

McCabe, who transferred from WVU following the 2020-2021 season, averaged 2.2 points, 1.4 assists and 1.1 rebounds on 31% from the field last season with the Mountaineers.

McCabe, a junior, will have two full seasons of eligibility remaining at UNLV and is expected to compete for the starting point guard position with the team.

McCabe made the following injury announcement on his personal TikTok account earlier today: “We had our first practice and I got injured.  I can’t go into specifics into what that means because we keep it in house, but I’m on the shelf for a little bit.  I’m trying to find gratitude in that somehow, find the silver lining and make it another challenge, but you know, it’s going to be hard.”

Best of luck to Jordan in his recovery and road ahead!
