Key Player Could Be Out Tonight

Lubbock, Texas – Senior guard Taz Sherman, who is averaging 13.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists while shooting 43.7 percent from the field and 40.3% from three point range, is unlikely to play for the Mountaineers tonight against the #7 ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders.

According to head coach Bob Huggins, Sherman suffered a groin injury during practice.  Although it’s unlikely, he could play if there’s no chance of injuring his groin further.

At the moment, Sherman is listed as a game time decision.
