Morgantown, West Virginia – Legendary TCU head coach Gary Patterson was fired on Halloween this year after a 3-5 start to the season.
Patterson is the winningest coach in TCU history and considered one of the finest coaches in college football. He had an overall record of 181-79 and a bowl record of 6-2 during his long career.
Today, it was announced that Patterson will join the Texas Longhorns in an “official position yet to be decided.”
Texas finished 5-7 overall and 3-6 in Big 12 Conference play in Steve Sarkisian’s first season with the Longhorns.
