Morgantown, West Virginia – The Man High School Hillbillies won the Class A basketball state championship earlier this month, defeating Webster County 84-51 in the championship game.
Yesterday, legendary wrestler Ric Flair sent a recorded message through Cameo, a personalized video app featuring videos from celebrities. Flair, a 16-time heavyweight champion and widely considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, charges $500 for his personalized recorded videos.
Flair was commissioned to congratulate Man High School on their state championship and he revealed his love for the great state of West Virginia during the message.
“This is a shout out to the Man High school boys basketball team who won their first ever state championship in basketball. Holy cow! And you are from the West “By God” Virginia, my favorite state! I’ve had more fun in Charleston than I have probably in Chicago, and that’s saying a lot.
Congratulations, guys! You are the best! And Coach TJ Blevins, you are the man! I can’t imagine all the hard work that you’ve put into it. Basketball is a tough sport, very competitive, and you all should be very proud.
To be the best, you have to beat the best, and from the Nature Boy, I’m telling you that Man High boys basketball team is the team! You own West Virginia! Congratulations! Wooooooo! Man High School, boys basketball team, from the Nature Boy, wooooooooo! Keep stylin’ and profilin’, guys! You know what I’m talking about. You win a state championship and you get all the girls. Wooooooooooooooo!”
