Morgantown, West Virginia – Throughout the weekend, Lincoln Riley was rumored to be leaving Oklahoma for the head coach vacancy at LSU. Riley shot down the rumors following the Sooners’ loss to Oklahoma State last night, saying, “I will not be the next head coach at LSU.”
However, Riley didn’t say anything about not being the head coach anywhere else. Lincoln Riley is headed to Southern California to be the new head coach at USC with an official announcement coming as soon as tomorrow.
Riley, who has a 55-9 overall record and a 37-6 record in the Big 12 Conference in his 5th season as the head coach at Oklahoma, is widely considered one of the best coaches in college football.
