Marshall beat Eastern Kentucky by a final of 59-0. Redshirt freshman Grant Wells set the school record for passing yards by a quarterback in a debut with 307 yards. He would also add four touchdown passes while tossing no interceptions.
The Colonels gave up a whopping 627 yards to Marshall’s offense, including 345 through the air and 282 on the ground.

WVU will play Eastern Kentucky next weekend in Morgantown, and will likely be very heavy favorites.
The Mountaineers and Colonels kick off at 1 p.m. on FS1.
