Today brought exciting news for Herd fans.
Marshall’s matchup against Appalachian State will be televised nationally on CBS this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
Losing to Mountaineers on national television is nothing the Thundering Herd isn’t used to. So when Appalachian State leaves Huntington with a convincing win, Herd Nation will have no problem accepting it for what it is.
The last time the Herd got demolished by Mountaineers in front of a national audience was all the way back in 2012. West Virginia, led by Geno Smith, cruised to a 69-34 victory over the Herd in Morgantown.
Appalachian State opened as 4.5-point favorites over Marshall, according to FanDuel.
