Morgantown, West Virginia – The Marshall Thundering Herd’s starting quarterback, Grant Wells, has decided to leave the team and enter the transfer portal.
Wells, a Charleston, West Virginia native, passed for 3,532 yards, 16 touchdowns and 13 interceptions for the Herd as a redshirt freshman this past season.
As a freshman last season, Wells was spectacular, passing for 2,091 yards, 18 touchdowns with only 9 interceptions in a shortened season.
Although unlikely, this is a quarterback that Neal Brown and his coaching staff should potentially consider adding.
