McBride Now Considered a First Round Pick in the 2021 NBA Draft

Morgantown, West Virginia – While Miles “Deuce” McBride left open the possibility of returning to West Virginia University next season, he continues to rise in the latest mock drafts.

In the USA Today Mock Draft, McBride is listed as the 27th overall pick in the 1st round of this year’s draft.  USA Today predicts that he will be selected by the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets are perhaps the most talented team in the NBA, featuring all-world players Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving.  Playing behind these three superstars and behind Irving at the point guard position would be a perfect way for McBride to start his professional career.

McBride entered his name in the 2021 NBA Draft and will receive an evaluation, and frankly, it’s hard to imagine what flaws or weaknesses professional scouts and executives will be able to find in his game.

McBride, who averaged 15.8 and 4.9 assists for the Mountaineers last season, is the complete package – he’s polished offensively and defensively, can shoot from the perimeter, has great range, can penetrate and score, can do it all.

Although all of Mountaineer Nation hopes for McBride to return to Morgantown next season, a potential first round selection would be difficult for him to pass up on.
