West Virginia Mountaineers offensive lineman Colton McKivitz (53) reacts after the team scores against North Carolina State Wolfpack on Saturday.

Colton McKivitz, the former West Virginia Mountaineer offensive lineman, was named to the Associated Press All-American 3rd team.  McKivitz played 50 games during his four year career and had an outstanding Senior season with the Mountaineers.  He was also named the Big 12 Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year this year.

In addition to this latest honor, McKivitz is a two-time All Big 12 Honorable Selection, a 3-time Academic All-Big 12 Second team selection and a three year starter for the Mountaineers.  Head Coach Neal Brown has been very complimentary of McKivitz since arriving in Morgantown, calling him “our best player” numerous times.

McKivitz will now focus on the NFL Draft and playing professionally next season.  Although he has not gotten a ton of attention from scouts and NFL GMs, he will certainly have an opportunity to make a team in the National Football League.
