Men’s Basketball Team Adds Football Player to Roster

MORGANTOWN, WV – The WVU Men’s Basketball team has struggled with depth all season – that is no secret. At one point during the early stages of the 2023-24 campaign, it was difficult for them to even field a team to compete.

Since, the team has added some depth through way of suspensions coming to an end, and a favorable ruling against the NCAA. Earlier today, their team became deeper with the addition of a Mountaineer Football player to their roster.

According to a press release from WVU, Redshirt Freshman Aden Tagaloa-Nelson has been added to the Mountaineer Basketball roster.

A member of the 2022 recruiting class, Tagaloa-Nelson plays safety for Neal Brown and the football team. He has made one career appearance, coming early on in the 2023 in a 56-17 blowout victory of Duquesne.

There was indication to his expected contributions nor position.
