Michael Hayes Announces Return to WVU

MORGANTOWN, WV – Moments ago, WVU Kicker Michael Hayes announced his intentions of returning to WVU in 2024 for “one last ride.”

Hayes, who transferred to WVU from Georgia State, connected on 17-of-21 field goal attempts. His season long was from 49 yards. He also made all 46 extra point attempts.

The South Carolina native also served as WVU’s kickoff specialist in 2023. On 73 kickoffs, Hayes averaged 61.5 yards and tallied 20 touchbacks. None of his kicks were placed out of bounds.
