Miles “Deuce” McBride Scores Career High in Win

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Former West Virginia star guard started for the New York Knicks last night against the Golden State Warriors and led his team to a big win on the road!

McBride, in his third season in the NBA, is finally starting to get playing time this season, and is making the most of his opportunity! McBride scored a career-high 29 points (9-13 FG, 6-9 3PT) in 46 minutes as the Knicks beat the Warriors 119-112 on the road. In addition, McBride played incredible defense all night, holding one of the best shooters in the history of the game, Steph Curry, to 27 points (8-20 FG) on the night.

“He was huge for us, obviously,” teammate Josh Hart said. “Everyone’s gonna see the box score and see he shot the ball very well and was very efficient, but he did that while guarding Steph, pressuring him, running around with him all game. So he was huge for us and something that we need.”

“They took it to us, they were physical, they played with great force,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “I thought Tom (Thibodeau) made a great move starting McBride, putting McBride out there spaced the floor and obviously he got going. They had us really spread out early. We knew they were going to come in and play hard after we got them a couple of weeks ago. That’s kind of their identity, they’re a hard-playing team. They took it to us tonight.”

The Knicks are now 41-27 this season and have won 4 straight games, and Miles McBride is a big part of their success this year.
