Morgantown, West Virginia – Pro Football Focus put out its projected Top 50 players of the 2021-2022 season and Dante Stills, a 6’4 280 pound senior defensive lineman for the West Virginia Mountaineers, has made the list!

Stills, who is also a preseason All Big 12 first team by Street and Smith’s and is on the Outland Trophy and Nagurski Trophy Watch Lists, has played in 24 games and made three starts during his career with the Mountaineers.  Stills is also the current team leader in sacks with 10 and tied for the team lead in career tackles for loss with 18.

Stills is projected as the 35th best player in the nation by Pro Football Focus for the 2021-2022 season.

According to PFF, “Stills emerged as a mauler in the run game last year and was undoubtedly the best interior defensive lineman in the Big 12. His 90.2 run-defense grade ranked second to Alim McNeill (formerly of NC State, now with the Detroit Lions) for the best in the Power Five. He came away with 15 tackles for loss or no gain — four more than anyone else in the Power Five. And he was one of three interior defensive linemen to finish with top-10 marks in negatively and positively graded play rate against the run.”

Dante Stills is expected to step up and fill the tremendous void left by his older brother Darius, who now plays for the Las Vegas Raiders, and become the leader of a very talented West Virginia defense this season!
