Morgantown, West Virginia – Neal Brown has done it again! The West Virginia Mountaineers’ 2023 class, which is already one of the best in the nation, just got a whole lot better!

Justin Benton, a four star defensive tackle from Covington, Georgia, just committed to play for the Mountaineers!

Benton, who was considered a lock to play for the Georgia Bulldogs, had an official visit to Morgantown on June 3rd  and Neal Brown and his coaching staff were able to convince him to make West Virginia his new home.

In addition to offers from Georgia, Benton held offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan State, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, USC, Virginia Tech and many other programs throughout the country.

Benton, 6’2 275 pounds, is the 21st best recruit in the state of Georgia and the #13 ranked defensive tackle nationally, according to Rivals.  

West Virginia’s 2023 recruiting class also features four star wide receiver Rodney Gallagher, as well as three star players Josiah Jackson, James Heard, Josiah Trotter, Jahiem White, Raheim Jeter and Cameron Jackson.

Although it’s still early in the recruiting season, Neal Brown and his staff have absolutely hit home runs so far and the future looks very bright in Morgantown!
