Mountaineers Get Big Conference Road Win at Oklahoma State

The West Virginia Mountaineers moved to 12-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big 12 Conference by defeating the Oklahoma State Cowboys by a score of 55-41.

The Mountaineers were led by Freshman Oscar Tshiebwe (12 points, 8 rebounds), Sophomore Derek Culver (9 points, 11 rebounds),  and Miles McBride (10 points) and Brandon Knapper (8 points) off the bench.  West Virginia got up by 9 at halftime and never looked back en route to a 14 point win.

Oklahoma State was paced by Senior forward Cameron McGriff, who finished with 10 points and 6 rebounds, and Senior guard Lindy Water III, who added 10 points and 6 rebounds.  The Cowboys shot only 29.8% from the field and 5.3% (1-20) from three point range.

West Virginia will finally return home to the Coliseum this Saturday against the #22 ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders at 6:00PM.
