Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, West Virginia University baskteball added 2021 guard Kobe Johnson. Johnson, a 6’3 190 pound player from Canton, Ohio, averaged 18.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 49.0% from the floor this season in leading McKinley to its first district title since 2016. He was the Northeast Inland District Division1 Player of the Year and also first team All-Ohio.
Johnson also held offers from Cleveland State, Miami (Ohio), Bowling Green, Akron, Youngstown State, Ohio, Duquesne, UT Martin and Stetson.
