Morgantown, West Virginia – Bob Huggins has worked another miracle in the transfer portal, landing the top transfer guard in college basketball, Kerr Kriisa!
Kriisa, a 6’3 guard from Arizona, just announced that he has committed to play for the West Virginia Mountaineers! Kriisa, who averaged 9.9 points and a PAC-12-best 5.1 assists per game while shooting 77% from the foul line and 37% from three point range last season for Arizona, has been the Wildcats’ starting point guard for the last two seasons and will almost certainly start at point guard for the Mountaineers next season.
With Kedrian Johnson and Erik Stevenson graduating, and Josiah Davis entering the transfer portal last week, the Mountaineers currently have Kriisa, Joe Toussaint, Seth Wilson and Kobe Johnson returning, as well as transfers Jose Perez and Omar Silverio, at the guard position.
Landing Kriisa is an absolutely huge get in the transfer portal and shows that Bob Huggins and his coaching staff can still bring the top, most highly-coveted players in the nation to West Virginia.
