Mountaineers Make Comeback to Beat North Texas

Morgantown, West Virginia – The #11 ranked West Virginia Mountaineers were down 29-21 to North Texas at halftime, but went on an 18-0 run to the start the second half and went on to win 62-50.

The Mountaineers were led by Sean McNeil, who had his best game of the season with 15 points on 5-9 from the field and 2-3 from three point range.  Derek Culver had 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Taz Sherman added 13 points off the bench.

Javion Hamlet had 15 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists for North Texas.  Senior forward Thomas Bell added 12 points and 4 rebounds.

West Virginia returns to the Coliseum to play the 19th ranked and undefeated (4-0) Richmond Spiders this Sunday, December 13th.  Richmond has beaten Morehead State, Kentucky, Wofford and Northern Iowa to start the season.  Game time is 1:00PM and will be televised live on ESPN.
