Neal Brown Comments After Another Devastating Loss

Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers moved to 3-5 overall and 1-4 in the Big 12 Conference with a 41-31 loss to the #7 ranked TCU Horned Frogs. Here’s what West Virginia head coach Neal Brown had to say following the game:

“Our guys played their tails off. They played the right way. They competed until the final play. We’re beat up, we had several people out. I’m proud of how they played. Our fans can be mad and frustrated at me, but you can’t be mad at those kids today. They played hard the whole game today. We just didn’t make enough plays offensively.

Credit TCU and Sonny (Dykes). We had chances to win the game, we had the ball with just under 4 minutes to play and we didn’t take advantage. I’m very pleased with how they played, not with the outcome but with how they played. That’s the hardest they’ve competed in a long time.”
