Morgantown, West Virginia – Ever since Texas and Oklahoma decided to leave the Big 12 Conference for the SEC, the remaining eight teams in the conference have been left in limbo.
Many experts and analysts have discussed the possibility of West Virginia moving to the ACC. When asked about a potential move to another conference, Brown didn’t appear to have many answers.
“I honestly have no idea how it’s going to play out. West Virginia has been in a lot of different conferences and has always played at a high level. The men’s basketball and football programs have always been successful and that will dictate that we will be in a good landing spot.”
Brown continued: “I can’t predict what they will look like. For the near future, we’re in the Big 12 Conference. We’re getting ready to play in the Big 12 and we’re happy to be here. It’s not going to affect what we’re doing this year and we’re playing the same schedule. ”
Brown said that he has discussed realignment with is team: “I’ve told our guys, “We’ve had several different conferences and the one common thing is that we’ve always played football at a really high level here and we’ll continue to do that in the future.”
