After this Saturday’s game against Oklahoma State, WVU is expected to part ways with Coach Neal Brown. The former Troy head coach has accumulated a 21-26 record, and has a losing season in three of his four seasons in Morgantown. Once he is relieved of his duties, he will likely land on his feet elsewhere.

CBS Sports recently revealed their coaching candidates for jobs that have become available so far. UAB of Conference USA will be looking for a new leader following the retirement of Bill Clark last summer.

Brown, who is expected to be on the market, was listed as a candidate for the job should WVU fire him. This would be a solid landing spot for him as it would give him an opportunity to get his career back on track, while also building a resume to once again be given a chance at a Power Five school.

UAB has a track record of success since reinstating their football program. They are a higher-tier program in the Group of Five, and this job would give Brown a great opportunity to add on a lot of wins.

Also listed as candidates are Justin Fuente, Skip Holtz, Kevin Sumlin, and Larry Fedora.
