Neal Brown Named Outlet’s Big 12 Coach of the Year

Heartland College Sports has recognized Neal Brown as their Co-Big 12 Coach of the Year.

Morgantown, WV – It was quite an incredible year for WVU Head Coach Neal Brown. After being the presumptive favorite to be the first coach fired during the 2023 season, his team got off to a fast start en route to an 8-4 finish. Many speculated that he would be the Big 12 Coach of the Year, but that honor went to Oklahoma State Coach Mike Gundy.

However, many outlets are recognizing other candidates for this honor. Heartland College Sports, a Big 12 centered outlet, named Brown their Co-Big 12 Coach of the Year.

Texas Coach Steve Sarkisian was also awarded the title.

Brown will have the opportunity to finish with 9 wins this bowl season. WVU’s bowl destination will be announced this Sunday.
