The job Neal Brown did during his time at Troy was tremendous — there is no debate. His quick turnaround going from 4-8 his first season to 10-3 in his second caught the eyes of many around the nation.

Now, going into his second season with the Mountaineers, many question if he can do the same thing at the Power 5 level. Many are skeptical about the possibility, but one College Football media presence tweeted out his confidence in Brown today.

Rich Cirminiello of Maxwell Football Club expects the Mountaineers to take a turn in their second season under Brown. Depth and experience were listed as his two main reasons why he expects a jump in West Virginia in 2020, and he would also give Brown the ultimate praise.

Cirminiello would call Brown a “top-program builder.” Of course, this isn’t something West Virginia fans didn’t already know, but seeing Neal Brown receive this level of praise nationally only gives us optimism moving into the future.
