Neal Brown Silent After Latest Commit

Earlier today, the Mountaineers landed a HUGE commitment to the 2023 class in the form of 4-star wide receiver Tralon Ray. The North Florida Christian prospect garnered offers from Mississippi State, Florida, Florida State, and Tennessee among several others.

This was a massive victory for WVU, right? So we should expect those around the program to celebrate. However, one important personality in the program was oddly silent today following the commitment.

This was none other than head coach Neal Brown.

Brown, who is usually very active on Twitter, has always tweeted a “Let’s Go” following major news on the recruiting trail.

However, he didn’t send out one of these classic tweets today. As a matter of fact, he didn’t say or post anything at all.

This could just be a sign that Brown has deleted his social media for the season, yes, but could there be something more beneath the surface? While I highly doubt that, you never know.

The hot seat talk around Brown is nothing other than that – talk. But things could certainly be ramping up behind the scenes without fans knowing. Maybe he has been notified that he will be relieved of his duties after the season and just doesn’t see a point in celebrating.

While we’re at it, though, let’s take a look at when Brown was last active on Twitter.

The first tweet is the last time Brown posted…October 18th. The latter is the last tweet he liked on October 16th.

So based on this, Brown simply hasn’t been active as of late. That is likely the ultimate answer here, but it is still fun to speculate, yes?

It’s part of the fun of being a fan.
