Neal Brown Sounds Like He Knows He’s Gone in Press Conference Today

Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers will go into their final game of the season this weekend against the Oklahoma State Cowboys with a 4-7 overall record and a 2-6 record in the Big 12 Conference. Here’s what Neal Brown had to say about in what is perhaps his final Tuesday press conference of his career with the Mountaineers:

“Looking back on Kansas State, they are a really good team. Credit to them. We just didn’t execute. Special teams were the most disappointing part of the game. I can’t ever remember struggling that bad as we did against Kansas State.

As far as next week, I’m being upfront with the players. I know you will have questions about it, but we’ll deal with it when the time comes. There’s nothing we can do about it right, so we’re going to focus on this week and Oklahoma State.

Garrett (Greene) is going to start. I thought there were some really good things that he did, but there are also some things that he’s got to be better on. We hope to get Nicco in but not just Nicco, we want to also get a lot of the younger guys in.

I fully expect our guys to play hard and to have a great game on Saturday.”
