Morgantown, West Virginia – Following West Virginia’s 48-31 loss to Kansas State in its final home game of the season, Neal Brown met with the press. Here’s what Brown had to say about his team’s performance:

“Tough day. I thought guys competed and fought hard all day. Credit Kansas State. Really physical team. They’ll probably play in the Big 12 Conference and they showed why they’re a top 15 team.

I thought we hung around. We had a chance to make things happen. I was really disappointed in our drive right before halftime. I thought there were some calls that we didn’t get throughout the game.

Offensively, we were inconsistent. I thought the two interceptions hurt us and cost us 14 points. Garrett (Greene) did some good things. He made some good decisions and some bad decisions. He will continue to get better.

Defensively, I thought we played really poorly in the first half. In the second half, I thought we came out and fought. We struggled some and couldn’t get to the passer.

Like I said, credit to Kansas State. They played well and they beat us.”
