Neal Brown Updates Quarterback Situation

Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, West Virginia Mountaineers Neal Brown gave an update on the starting quarterback situation heading into the Backyard Brawl on September 1st.

Brown said the following: “I feel good about our present and our future and we’re still working through it. I’ll announce the starting quarterback before the game, but we’re not to that point where we have made a final decision made yet.”

The “competition” is between redshirt junior transfer JT Daniels, redshirt sophomore Garrett Greene, redshirt freshman Will “Goose” Crowder and true freshman Nicco Marchiol, although it’s widely expected that Brown will inevitably name Daniels the starter before the Mountaineers open the season next Thursday, September 1st at Pitt.
